A local Hoi An nanny
Childcare in Hoi An you can actually trust — on day one.
New to Hoi An and don't have a sitter you know yet? I'm Trang — a CPR-certified nanny and mom of two. Since 2018 I've cared for families from the US, Australia, France, and the UK. Message me and we'll sort out the details.

What I help with
Care that fits how your family actually lives.
Most families don't need a service — they need one person they trust to step in where it helps. Here's where I usually help out.
Childcare for all ages
From newborns to school-age. Calm with a crying baby, fun with a curious toddler, patient with a bored seven-year-old. Hourly, half-day, or full-day care.
Newborn care
Comfortable with infants and happy to support tired parents in those first weeks — feeding, naps, soothing, and giving you a real break.
Evening & overnight care
Date night? Late flight? A wedding to attend? I do evenings and overnights at a slightly higher rate — just book a day or two in advance when you can.
Vietnamese for kids
A native speaker on call. Kids pick up words and songs naturally during play — great for expat families wanting their kids to connect with the language.
Cooking with kids
Especially good for rainy days. Simple Vietnamese dishes (or whatever your kids will eat) made together in your kitchen.
Beach walks & outdoor play
An Bang and the parks around Hoi An. Sunscreen on, snacks packed, water bottles full. Shade and breaks built in on hot days.
Reading, drawing, music
Quiet-time care — books in English or Vietnamese, drawing, singing, dancing in the living room. Whatever your kids are into.
Household cooking
Family meals in your kitchen on request — Vietnamese or simple Western. I'll shop too if you want.
Light cleaning
Tidy-up, dishes, kid laundry, keeping the house from spiralling on busy days. An extra pair of hands when you need them.
Laundry
Washing, hanging, folding. Especially helpful with newborn loads and the never-ending kid clothes.
Don't see what you need? Just ask — happy to figure it out.

About Trang
I grew up in the countryside. Now I help foreign families feel at home in Hoi An.
I'm Trang. I moved to Hoi An for work years ago and ended up staying — I'm married now, a mom of two boys, and I've spent the last seven-plus years helping foreign families settle into life here.
How I became a nanny
I didn't set out to do this. I started by cooking and cleaning full-time for foreign families. One by one, parents began asking if I could watch their kids too. I said yes, the kids and I got along, and word travelled. Since 2018 I've worked with families from the US, Australia, France, and the UK — mostly through referrals from one family to the next.
What I believe about childcare
Foreign parents in Hoi An don't need a service. They need one person they trust — someone who treats their kids the way she treats her own. I'm calm with babies, patient with toddlers, and I know how to keep older kids engaged on a hot or rainy day without parking them in front of a screen.
Outside of work
I live in Hoi An with my husband and our two sons. In my free time I cook for my family and travel back to the countryside to visit my parents. The families I work with end up feeling like part of my bigger family by now — that's the kind of relationship I try to build.

What past families have said.
Most of Trang's work comes from referrals — one family passing her name to the next. Here's a sample.
"She's going to leave a real hole — for our daughter most of all."
— Christian, current Hoi An family
"Without any doubt, the best nanny we had with us. In two years, she became part of the family."
— Vincent H. · Hoi An, 2 years
"Fantastic communicator. The boys had a great time, and we'd be happy to work with her again anytime. Highly recommended!"
